Good day to you! And happy Wednesday Fresh Foods Link Up, week #18!
It's been an interesting week, hasn't it? Between monster storms, monster costumes and monster elections, there's been a lot going on! But now we're getting into a whole new world of busy - the Christmas season. And let me tell you - I can hardly contain myself!! I love me some Christmas! If I had my way, I'd put the tree up November 1st. I think if John had his way, it wouldn't go up until the week before. So while I'm impatiently biding my time until the mutually agreed upon tree decorating day - December first - I have other things I love. Like your posts!
Last week was pretty rad. Less turn out than usual, but with everything going on, I suppose it's to be expected. Highlights from last week include:

| Apple Cinnamon Doughnuts via The Spinach Spot |

DeleteI've been under the weather and resorting to old recipes lately, so I've linked up 3 of my favourites from prior seasons. I actually made the Turkey and Sweet Leek Pie again this week with fresh leeks from my garden. My son ate one piece and I ended up eating the rest (over a period of a few days)! LOL. I also linked a killer Pumpkin Rice Laksa soup recipe, and a different take on a Vegetarian Chili, featuring roasted sweet potatoes for texture. I'm sure they'll be in on my menu again in the coming weeks, as winter sets in and I need some good, hearty, warming food in my belly. ;)

Hi Mrs. H! Thanks for sharing - I can't wait to hear more about your garden and CSA :)
DeleteWell. It was my last CSA box of the year last week. I posted a roundup of what was in this year's (and my very first!) CSA box.
ReplyDeleteThat said- I've got some squashes leftover from my CSA to play with. I started a squash challenge for myself: cooking a squash every week, and liking it. First installment is butternut squash gnocchi.
