Hello lovelies!
This weekend John and I hit up this amazing local craft cask beer festival at Evergreen Brick Works called "Cask Days". In its 8th year, the attending 75 breweries featured cask-conditioned ales from across Canada, local food and live music - in short, a night of super fun times. Cold beer = fun times. Cold open warehouse at the end of October = dress warmly. Good lord dress warmly!!!
Also, probably the only time in history that the line up for the men's washroom was tits deep and the ladies could just walk right into theirs. What up yo! Nothin' like attending a "sausage fest" and being able to pee freely. Well, not freely, exactly. But easy access to the women's bathroom is never a bad thing.
Last week we had some great posts shared. Highlights include:

Cask ales? Good stuff. We enjoyed quite a bit of that while we were in Scotland this summer.
ReplyDeleteNow that our power is back after Hurricane Sandy, I hope to get caught up on some blog posts, but for today I'm sharing a recipe for making Feta at home. If you have access to raw milk, I encourage you to give it a try!
I've never been to Scotland! What kinds of beer do they make there?
Deletep.s. glad your power is back Denise!!
That looked like quite a fun weekend! This week I shared a post with tips on how to learn how to hunt for your own meat. Thanks for hosting! http://www.montanasolarcreations.com/2012/10/women-in-hunting-series-part-7-how-to.html

DeleteYum. Beer. Or cask ales but whatever. Yum.
ReplyDeleteMy friend Allison does a 3 week November Blitz from the day after Halloween until right before US Thanksgiving, making small changes to improve her health. I've written about the ways I increase the veggies in my daily meals in support of her.
And I made a pizza without any guinea pigs being harmed. Nor pigs in our food.
Thanks!
what a good friend you are kirsten :)
DeleteOh goodness, I love the fact that there was a line up for the men's washroom, but not for the women's. A rare occurrence indeed. Looks like a fun weekend! I'm heading to a wine and beer festival this weekend here in Edmonton - can't wait for delicious food and fun bevvies!
